About Diary Tone
A quiet place to explore the tone of your English diary. Save as many entries as you like each day, with a date and time for every entry.
English sentiment analysis
This browser edition uses the JavaScript port of VADER. Positive, negative and neutral proportions range from 0 to 1. A compound score of at least 0.05 is positive; at most −0.05 is negative; everything between is neutral. Results can vary slightly from the Python edition.

Analysis runs in your browser. Entries are saved in local browser storage, without being sent to a server. Other people using the same browser profile can access them. Clearing site data removes saved entries, so keep a JSON backup.
The writing streak counts consecutive dates ending at the latest entry in the current selection. Sample entries are fictional.
